Dear Chip and Jo,
Dear Chip and Jo,Although I was extremely sad when I saw your video this morning announcing that the upcoming season 5 will be your last, I'm so excited for you guys as you move in a new direction. I also feel the need to express my thanks.Thank you for loving Waco. I've never been there, and I can say pretty certainly that I will probably never live there (Texas is WAY too hot for me!!). However, your love for your city and the effort you put into making it even better is so encouraging. I really do hope to visit Waco and the Silos one day, just so I can see first hand the city you love so much. Thank you for making me laugh about the silliest of things. The popularity of Chip's antics on camera is proof that openly being yourself is the best way to live life. It's shown me that being me is okay, and it's been a reminder not to take myself too seriously.Thank you for proving that class, grace, and hospitality have not gone out of style. Joanna, you have been such a great example of what it means to make people feel welcome and cared for in so many different situations.Thank you for being such incredibly dedicated, passionate, hard-working people. Your life is evidence that the best things in life are worth the effort and energy required to achieve them. At the same time, thanks for showing us that you can work hard and enjoy life.Mostly, I want to thank you for choosing your family and your marriage over fame. One of the aspects of the show that I have always loved has been how focused you are on making your kids a priority. Not to mention that fact that you are intentional about how you spend your family time and how you parent. I'm not married nor do I have kids, but I definitely look up to you guys as a couple and as parents. In today's world, it would be so easy to keep doing the show because the fans still want more or because there is still money to be made from more episodes. Thanks for choosing family.Thank you for living your faith in a way that is so evident in your life. Your love for Jesus comes out in how you love your family, how you love people, and how you love each other. Can't wait to see what God has in store for you and your family in the future!Thank you for entertaining us, but more importantly, for inspiring us.
