This is Home.
Home is....staying up late even though you have to work the next day because it's too fun to leave.Home is....showing up sweaty and stinky (after a workout) and knowing no one will care.Home is....laying on the floor resting while friends talk and walk all around you because you need a minute to get your thoughts together.Home is....sitting and simply enjoying the people around you.Home is....staring at a fire and wondering why fire goes up, and not sideways, when it burns?Home is....laughing at the silly things.Home is....making faces at someone across the room and not caring if other people think you're weird.Home is....STUPID HAND....and other inside jokes.Home is....offering to taste test the s'mores to see who makes the best one.Home is....friends who would rather serve others than be served.Home is....jumping from movies to spiders to constellations to the greatness of God in just a few minutes conversation.Home is....hugging and cuddling with the girls just because they are there and it's nice to know someone is there.Home is....not letting the fire die out because you don't want to leave.Home is....finding out your friends have cool talents you didn't know about.Home is....reading a book in a room full of friends because you need to be around people but not emotionally up for talking, and them being totally ok with it because they get it.Home is....trying not to lose a marshmallow to the flames while people are taking pictures.Home is....enjoying being around the people you like, even if you're not saying anything.Home is....making plans to do it again in a few days because it's just too much fun to do once in a week.Home is....friends who are family.Home is....this.These people. This place. And it's better than I could've ever imagined.
